More about Jonathan

Violinist, Songwriter, Composer
Hi, I’m Jonathan. I started playing violin when I was four, and over the years, music has become one of the main ways I connect with God and share His goodness with others.
My family used to go on mission trips to Mexico and Guatemala, and those early experiences shaped a lot of who I am. Eventually, I began creating music videos and teaching, always trying to encourage others the way music has encouraged me.
I come from a creative family—painters, musicians, even pastors—and I’m grateful for the legacy of faith and artistry they passed down. Now, I spend my time arranging hymns, producing music, and doing my best to make things that glorify the Lord.
Thanks for being here. I hope the music I create blesses you and draws you closer to God.
Biblical Beliefs
I believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — the one true Elohim and Creator of all. I believe He sent His only Son, Yeshua, to die in our place and take upon Himself the punishment we deserved. Through His sacrifice, we are offered forgiveness, new life, and the chance to walk in restored relationship with God.
I believe we are called to follow Yeshua — not just in words, but in how we live. His life is our example: full of grace, truth, love, humility, and obedience to the Father.
This channel exists to draw people closer to God, not to divide or create conflict. I kindly ask that the comments on my channels remain respectful, encouraging, and centered on that same purpose. Let’s keep our focus on glorifying our Father in heaven and loving our nehbors.
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
John 13:34-35
History
I didn’t grow up in a typical way. I was raised in a missionary family, and we took our first trip to Guatemala when I was just three years old. We lived in a tiny 22x8 foot camper, traveling across Mexico and Guatemala as my parents served through medical missions. It was during that time my family picked up the violin together — I was four when we began. What started as a way to keep us close as a family soon became a calling.
Over time, we shifted from medicine to music, starting youth orchestras and teaching violin in villages and towns. I had the joy of helping kids go from “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” to Vivaldi’s "Four Seasons" — something I’ll never forget. I was 13 when my sister Sarah and I got the chance to perform with the UTPA University Orchestra, and around that time, I also began to love teaching.
To support our mission work, we sold bread and brownies door-to-door in Texas. But in 2018, when my dad got sick, we had to return to the U.S. and settle in Arkansas. I worked at a bakery and later at Sam’s Club. During that quieter season, I started composing and recording more seriously — some of the music I still share today was born during that time.
Music runs deep in my family. My great-grandfather was a street preacher, and my grandma and great aunt played violin alongside him on the corners of Milwaukee. They were part of the Milwaukee Symphony when it first began. My mom grew up on a small farm in Wisconsin and spent her childhood surrounded by animals and nature — she still paints wildlife to this day. My dad loved pottery and used to throw clay while my mom painted the finished pieces by hand. Together they started a business called Mudwasp Originals, and they’ve always encouraged creativity and faith in everything we do.
God has led me on a winding but beautiful path. Everything I create now — from videos to sheet music — is rooted in that journey and shaped by a desire to glorify Him.
